A clear plan, delivered gently
How you'd train together
You both value knowing exactly what is coming next. A trainer who sets out the plan clearly and keeps the tone calm gives one of you structure and the other reassurance at the same time.
Where you might want different things
Feedback is where you might part ways. One of you wants it straight and regular; the other may hear bluntness as pressure. Ask a trainer how they give honest feedback kindly, and tell them which of you prefers what.
What to look for in a shared trainer
- Lists a supportive or direct coaching style and says how they adapt to two people
- Describes how they set goals and check in on them without raising the pressure
- Is clear about what's expected between sessions, and relaxed when life gets in the way
Trainers on TrainingLink describe their own style. Browsing by style is a starting point, not a guarantee.

A light-hearted starting point for choosing a coaching approach, not a scientific personality test. Preferences change, and that's fine.
